Poliquin's  Stabilized R-Lipoic Acid is in the form of Sodium-R-Lipoate, the newest and by far most stable and effective version of R-Lipoic Acid available anywhere. Binding it to Sodium prevents it from polymerizing which occurs easily due to its hygroscopic nature. Thus stable, non-hygroscopic, non-polymeric potassium salt form of R-Lipoic Acid does not require any special handling or refrigeration.
